Operations & Monitoring Engineer for BearingPoint Products

Location: Bucharest, Sibiu, Cluj, Brasov, Timisoara and Iasi.
Primary Functions and Tasks:
Monitor SAP BTP applications and services across all environments to ensure availability and performance.
Provide real-time technical support and respond promptly to alerts and incidents.
Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot incidents, resolving them directly or escalating according to documented procedures.
Create, manage, and update tickets using Kibana or other ticketing tools.
Assign tickets to the appropriate teams and actively follow up until resolution and closure.
Ensure timely incident resolution and maintain high-quality documentation of all actions taken.
Collaborate closely with Development, Operations, QA, and Release Management teams to ensure transparency and effective issue resolution.
Document incidents, recurring issues, and root causes, and propose process or technical improvements.
Maintain strong internal communication to ensure effective shift handovers and 24/7 operational continuity.
Test and validate new requirements, changes, or enhancements as part of operational readiness.
We are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in software development or IT operations.
Good understanding of business functional areas and enterprise-level processes.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience working with SQL databases at a basic to intermediate level.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly and support knowledge sharing within the team.
Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
Excellent written and spoken English.
