Primary Functions and Tasks: 

As a Senior SAP BW Consultant, you will take a leading role in the design, implementation, and support of enterprise-scale Business Warehouse solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver robust, scalable, and high‑performance analytical solutions aligned with corporate data strategy and transformation initiatives.

You are expected to bring strong SAP BW expertise, contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior consultants when needed, and actively support the evolution toward modern SAP analytics platforms.

Location: Romania

• Lead the gathering, analysis, and clarification of reporting and analytics requirements from business stakeholders.

• Design, develop, and optimize data models and analytical solutions using SAP BW/4HANA or SAP BW on HANA.

• Build and maintain ETL processes, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability.

• Integrate data from SAP ERP systems (ECC and/or S/4HANA) as well as non-SAP data sources.

• Actively contribute to or lead BW to BW/4HANA migration initiatives, including strategy, design, and execution.

• Ensure performance optimization, data accuracy, and adherence to best practices in BW architecture.

• Collaborate closely with business users, functional consultants, and IT teams to deliver end‑to‑end analytical solutions.

• Provide production support, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

• Document technical solutions and ensure knowledge transfer across teams.

• Contribute to analytics and data platform modernization initiatives using SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and integration with third‑party tools.

We are looking for:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

• SAP certifications in BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, or SAP Analytics Cloud are considered a strong advantage.

• 3-5+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP BW, including BW/4HANA and classic BW.

• Strong experience in data modeling, including:

  • InfoObjects

  • ADSOs

  • CompositeProviders

  • Open ODS Views

• Solid expertise in ETL development:

  • DataSources

  • Transformations

  • DTPs

  • Process Chains

• Experience with reporting and analytics tools, such as:

  • SAP Analysis for Office

  • SAP Analytics Cloud

  • Power BI (integration perspective)

• Good knowledge of SAP HANA, including Calculation Views and SQL scripting (nice to have).

• Proven experience integrating SAP and non‑SAP data sources.

• Exposure to cloud-based analytics or data platforms is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

• Ability to translate business requirements into high‑quality technical solutions.

• Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, BI architectures, and data governance.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Comfortable working in international, cross‑functional environments.

• Proactive, self‑driven, and quality‑oriented mindset.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is an advantage.
