Primary Functions and Tasks:

• Develop and maintain scalable backend solutions using Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement effective backend solutions;
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members;
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews to ensure project goals are met on time;
• Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and best practices;
• Implement and maintain database schemas, queries, and performance optimizations in PostgreSQL;
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git;
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following best practices and coding standards;
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic;
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share best practices;
• Follow a continuous everything approach (continuous development, integration, testing and deployment);
• Write unit tests;
• Document the APIs using Swagger.

We are looking for: 

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development; experience as a Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL. (or any other relational database);
• Experience with NodeJS frameworks (NestJS is a plus);
• Experience writing APIs;
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams;
• Proven experience Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills;
• Experience working in a medium-sized team;
• Good understanding and experience with relational databases (optional: PostgreSQL);
• Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and best practices;
• Good understanding of HTTP protocol;
• Knowledge of design patterns and coding best practices;
• Excellent analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills;
• Experience with unit testing frameworks;
• Excellent written and spoken English;
• University graduate – availability for work full-time program;
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to meet tight deadlines;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to take initiative and autonomously handle tasks;
• Ability to work independently and as a team;
• Accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice to have skills

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks;
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes);
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
